Binance celebrated its sixth anniversary this July, with CEO Changpeng Zhao writing a letter addressing the company’s users and reflecting on its journey over the past six years.
Challenges Faced
Zhao highlighted some of the challenges faced by Binance during its journey, mentioning two crypto winters as well as investments in Terra and FTX that led to increased regulatory scrutiny. Despite these troubles, he noted that Binance will continue to prioritize its users and protect their interests.
Key Trends Shaping Up
The executive also laid out some key trends currently taking shape within the space: traditional finance coming into crypto will ease institutional adoption; decentralized finance (DeFi) will continue to accelerate; and more people will interact with DeFi products.
